Hurricane Jimena
ala GB 3:45pm. Still hotter. A few special things have been happening over the past few days. My partner, Karen, is an apprentice midwife, and a few of her overdue mother's 'popped'. I can't say how many because of patient confidentiality, but Karen hasn't gotten more than 3 hours sleep in a row for the past 4 nights. Another thing...
is Noam lost his first tooth. Really hot...got to go get some ice cream. 6 pm
Cooler now as the first heavy rains arrive.
At "sunset" the rain stopped and the sky first turned a bronze then lavender and magenta. |
At a little after 9pm, the kids are asleep. Karen goes to bed too because there are still a few babies waiting for the most inopportune moment possible to come into our world. The middle of a hurricane or tropical storm would be pretty good for most un-born souls requiring a grand entrance.
