We get prepared...sort of

The

Noam fills buckets and water coolers. On the right is the plywood I bought to board up our big windows (see below), but decided to "chance'em" and not put them up. More time to work on this webpage.


The weather isn't pretty outside, but it is eerily still with a light misty floating down. The air is getting very hot.

My young palms, some of the rare (Marojejya darianii just went on the endangered species list) get protected inside our shed. My backup harddrive (where strange frame is backed), DVCAM DSR-30, and data discs get a little overkill protection in a cooler, but hey, the cooler needed to get out of the wind too!


Karen and I go out to tie down the extra metal roofing we have. The temperature and humidity are increasing. The sweat pours off us even when we sit still.

The chickens take one last scratch before we put them in their coop. Kika, one of our three cats, stretches and comes inside as the rain begins to fall.

Still no wind, but hotter and wetter.
